In the wake of the forth coming local government elections in Nigeria, The Orderly Society Trust in collaboration with the Oshodi/ Isolo Local Government and Galaxy Television organised the first ever political debate for aspirants to the position of chairman of the Oshodi/ Isolo Local Government.

The debate provided the much needed opportunity for members of the Oshodi/Isolo Local Government to assess the candidates and know firsthand their manifestos and developmental plans for the local government area. This is a contrast to previous elections where the community members did not have an idea who the candidates or what their manifestos were.

This debate provided an opportunity for the members to have a say in selecting who governs the affairs of their local government.
