Hadiza Abdulazeez, Programme Officer

Hadiza AbdulazeezPrior to joining OST, Hadiza worked as a researcher on justice issues with a number of organisations including the Justice Research Institute and the London Detainee Support Group and Amnesty International UK. She has volunteered as a Development Knowledge Facilitator, conducting advocacy targeted at local communities in Nigeria on the Millenium Development Goals.

As Programme Officer, Hadiza has responsibility for conducting research into OST programme areas. A key focus of her work is providing operational support to OST’s Strategic Advocacy initiative. She is also responsible for liaison with external partners including the media, civil society groups and government officials.

Hadiza holds a BA in International Relations from Huron University, USA.


Nkeiruka Aduba, Programme Officer

Nkeiruka AdubaAs part of her legal training, Nkeiru interned at the Plateau State High Court and the law firm of Tayo Oyetibo & Co. At OST she has responsibility for developing communications and promotional material, including the development of the website and other OST publications. She also provides operational support to the programme team.

She holds an LL.B from the University of Jos, Nigeria, a Certificate of Merit, Nouveau Deux from the Alliance Francaise and is admitted to practise law at the Nigerian Bar.



Koko Iyamu, Administrator

Koko IyamuPrior to joining OST, Koko worked in administration at the Ministry of Welfare and Community Development in Zamfara State, Nigeria. She also taught at the Township Model Primary School, Gusau in Zamfara State. As the administrator at OST, Koko is responsible for the management of human resources, budgets and resource mobilisation at OST. She also manages other projects within The Elias Centre, Lagos.

She holds a BSc. in Sociology from the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria.



Professor Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, Executive Director

Professor Yemi OsinbajoProfessor Osinbajo is a Senior Partner at Simmons Cooper Partners, a Nigerian law firm and a Professor of Law at the University of Lagos, Nigeria. Previously, he served as the Special Adviser to the Attorney General of Nigeria and later as Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice for Lagos State. He is currently the Ethics Adviser to the Advisory Board of the Africa Development Bank. He has also served in various roles within the United Nations with the United Nations Centre on Transnational Corporations, the United Nations African Institute for Crime Prevention, the International Criminal Court for Rwanda in Arusha, Tanzania, the Department of Peacekeeping Operations and the United Nations Peace Operations in Somalia (UNOSOM).

He is a member of the International Bar Association, The Nigerian Body of Benchers and the Council of Legal Education in Nigeria.

Professor Osinbajo has  authored, co-authored  and edited several books  and publications including The Unification and Reform of the Nigerian Criminal Law and Procedure Codes ; Law Development and Administration; The Annotated Civil Procedure rules of The Superior Courts in Nigeria and Cross Examination: A Trial Lawyer’s Most Potent Weapon.

Professor Osinbajo holds an LL.B from the University of Lagos, Nigeria and an LL.M from the London School of Economics. He is admitted to practice Law at the Nigerian Bar.


Lanre Shasore, Programme Coordinator

Lanre ShasorePrior to joining OST, Lanre served in the United Nations in the areas of judicial reform and political affairs. During her time at the United Nations, she worked in the United Nations Capital Development Fund, the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission in Liberia and the United Nations Department of Political Affairs. She has also worked in private legal practice on human rights and employment law in the UK. Lanre is responsible for managing the implementation of the Making Local Governance Work Programme at OST.

She holds an LL.B from University of Buckingham, UK and an LL.M from King’s College, London and is admitted to practise law as a solicitor in the UK
